About Us

The Surrey Enterprise Hub was established in March 2002, and is part of a network of 20 Enterprise Hubs in the South East of England, funded by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).

The setting up of the Surrey Enterprise Hub was researched and facilitated by the Surrey Economic Partnership (SEP) as a key element of its economic strategy for Surrey. The SEP brings together key business and public sector organisations to support the aims of the Hub.

Although the Hub supports businesses from any sector, our key sector interests cover Digital Technology, Information Security, New Media and Creative Industries, Bioscience, and Food Technology. These reflect the world-class reputations of three of our founder partners - the University of Surrey (UniS); Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL), and Leatherhead Food International (LFI) - who are committed to working in partnership with local industry to promote economic growth in Surrey.

Our managing organisation is Surrey Enterprise Hub Ltd - a not-for profit Company, Limited by Guarantee, with a board of directors chaired by Hub Champion Nigel Biggs and comprising Business Link Surrey and founder partners University of Surrey, Surrey Research Park, Royal Holloway, University of London, Leatherhead Food International and Surrey Economic Partnership. The Hub Director is Mike Lunch, who is located at the Surrey Enterprise Hub office in the Surrey Technology Centre, Guildford.
