Chartered Management Institute - Managing a mobile workforce
In recent years we've seen vast improvements in the capabilities of mobile devices as well as the speed and connectivity of mobile networks. This is all coupled with huge commercial pressures to constantly deliver increased value to our businesses at lower cost. Mobile technology can deliver dramatic improvements in the bottom line as well as help develop an extremely collaborative culture encompassing fixed desk and mobile workers. However this doesn't come without an element of risk. Mobile phones are currently capable of storing tens of gigabytes of data so it's only a matter of time before the next media reported data leak comes through the loss of one.We are extremely privileged to invite CMI members and guests along to an evening event at Nokia's UK headquarters in Farnborough. The event will be hosted by Adrian Williams, Head of Business Mobility for Nokia UK. Adrian will share Nokia's vision of how mobile technology is moving forward and how you it can be used to improve collaboration whilst maintaining corporate security and reducing costs. Adrian will also be providing an update on recent changes in Nokia's business mobility strategy as well as sharing information on recently released and upcoming mobile devices. This will be followed by a short presentation by Simon Green, Commercial Director of ESE ( a Nokia Expert Business Mobility Partner) on some real-world case studies of how businesses have deployed and are using mobile technology for competitive advantage.
There will be ample time for questions and answers as well as hands-on product demonstrations of the latest Nokia mobiles and complimentary software solutions.
There is no charge to attend but you must register by Friday 21st November. Anyone arriving on the night who hasn't pre-registered will not be allowed to enter the site.
