If you are a small business feeling the pinch during the credit crunch, this is a great opportunity to improve the energy efficiency of your business and save money.
The Trust reports that customers are using the loans to finance the more ambitious projects they wanted to invest in, such as large lighting installations, boilers projects, or multiple equipment purchases such as variable speed drives with compressors and heat recovery equipment.
Erica Russell of Business Link's sustainability team says,
“The loan is unsecured, interest free and repayable over a period of up to 4 years. There are no arrangement fees and applying is straightforward but your project must be able to meet the CO2 savings required by the Carbon Trust.
“The first step to obtaining a loan is to assess your eligibility. You can apply (with a few exceptions) if you are a small or medium sized enterprise in England that has been trading for a least 12 months. You can borrow from £5,000 to £200,000 and you can quickly check online to make sure your company fits the application criteria please click here "
You can apply for the loan online too, but we would recommend that if you are unsure about any of the criteria, give us a call on 0845 600 9 006.
