New BBC Technology Series seeks Surrey Research Park family

The makers of Who Do You Think You Are? New Tricks and Edwardian Country House are working on a new documentary series for BBC FOUR.

The three part series will look at the impact that modern technology has had on family life over the past 40 years. We are planning to take a modern British family back to the 1970s and then fast forward them through the domestic technological revolution of the 1980s and 1990s, right up to the present day. It's an interesting social history project, which we're hoping will give a fascinating insight into the way our lives have been transformed by domestic technology.

They are currently looking for a family to take part and have decided to focus our search on businesses associated with technology and innovation. At the moment it's just a case of trying to get the message out to as many families as we can, to see who might be interested in hearing more.

Ideally the family they are looking for will be interested in how modern technology has changed the family home and keen to show their children what life was like before the world of mobile phones, wireless internet and facebook. They must own their own home and preferably have 3 children or more between the ages of eight and eighteen. Above all they are looking for a family who are bright, articulate and up for a challenge.
